Money carries weight. We are in a position to be able to donate to organizations which we believe benefit the community in which we live. We considered making these donations anonymous as we are not personally interested in having our names associated with these donations. However, we realized that we were paying attention to the names of others that were donating, and if their names carried weight with us, we were more likely to donate as well. Because we've been around a while, we realized our names also may have the potential to carry weight with others, so if we did agree to provide our name, it may encourage others to make donations to the same organizations. So, we agreed to use our names.
